The Blue Mermaid Island Grill has received favorable feedback from such prestigious groups as the National Restaurant Association, New Hampshire Magazine and shows such as The Phantom Gourmet and Rachel Ray’s Tasty Travels. I’d like to give them a favorable rating for their clearly marked menu which includes vegetarian and gluten-free foods!

Georgie’s Diner in New Haven has gluten-free and vegan choices on the menu and recently added more items for their gluten-free customers.  Already serving gluten-free pasta dishes such as the Mediteranean Pasta and the Bolognese pasta dish, they have recently added gluten-free Cavatelli and Spinach Ravioli (not yet listed on menu). We know that certain Thai dishes  are naturally gluten-free but sometimes we are reluctant to order if restaurants are not aware of food allergy concerns.  Happily, Mango II Thai Cuisine  is aware and boy, did we enjoyed our meal!

Maggiano’s Little Italy will substitute gluten-free pasta for any of their pasta dishes! The exception to this is the lasagna and ravioli.   After speaking with the folks at our location (Boston), I was told that, in addition,  any protein dish (chicken, fish, pork or beef) is available gluten-free too but one must order without the sauce.  Just be sure to tell your server so they can work with you to create a perfect dish.
