About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

The Rice Barn in Needham Center

The Rice Barn  in Needham Ma, serves up delicious, contemporary Thai and Asian cuisine.  They emphasize preparing their dishes with the finest and freshest ingredients and they do not use any trans fat.  Vegan and wheat-free (gluten-free) selections are available.  You’ll find a gluten-free menu in the restaurant which has numerous choices.  Read the rest of this entry »

An allergen friendly restaurant with entertainment!

The Nimrod Restaurant & Jazz Lounge  is located in Falmouth, Massachusetts on beautiful Cape Cod.  Included on their dinner menu is a clearly marked gluten free section.  There are numerous choices for appetizers, entrees and desserts. They even offer gluten-free rolls!   There are some gluten-free choices for lunch as well.  After contacting Chef Jim Murry, I  was told that they can accomodate most food intolerances, especially if notified in advance.
