About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

A & J Bakery-nut,dairy,egg and gluten-free!

A & J Bakery  is a peanut and tree nut free bakery located in Cranston, RI.  They also have a line of  egg and dairy free products.  These include cupcakes, cookies, vanilla and chocolate cakes, granola bars, muffins, apple crisp and they even bake gingerbread houses!  The gluten-free products offered are chocolate chip cookies, brownies and cakes.  Gluten-free items are only made on certain days of the week.  They are baked first thing in the morning so there is no chance of cross-contamination with the other gluten containing items which are baked later.  Online ordering is also available.

Also located in Cranston is Ursula’s European Pastries where they offer over 18 gluten free items!

    Hello all i just wanted to pass along a this awesome bakery that i have found in Cranston RI. Te bakery is called A&J and they are located at 1458 park ave Cranston RI. I had gone in this bakery last week for the first time and let me tell you i thought i died and went to heaven. I walked in this bakery and figured it would be like any other bakery that i have been to that tells people that they are gluten free. Boy was i wrong. This bakery has all kinds of GF desserts from pies to eclairs to bread. And this is not your typical GF frozen crap we are all used to eating this is like real bread. I have spoken to the owners and they explained to me that they have a dedicated bakery for all Gluten free items. they also ship all over the USA.
