Bella Monica Restaurant located in Raleigh, NC,  is a food allergy friendly restaurant that welcomes special dietary requests (advance notice required if you need more than gluten-free) and has an extensive gluten-free menu  that includes antipasti, entrees, flatbread pizzas and desserts.  For the antipasti you’ll find many different salads and also some delicious Italian favorites.  The Spiedino consists of marinated chicken breast  on a skewer served with a mission fig compote and goat cheese.  The Garlic soup or Polenta with roasted red peppers and balsamic syrup also sounds enticing but if you want more standard “American” fare you can opt for the House, Caesar (no croutons) or Spinach salads.  For the entrees there is a vast list of  Parmigianas that can be made with eggplant, portobello mushroom, chicken or sausage and all are served on gluten-free linguine (contains corn and eggs). The flatbreas pizzas (crusts do contain milk, soy and egg) are available in the 10 inch size only and the ingredient list of each pizza is available on the menu.  To reduce the risk of cross-contamination, all gluten-free items are cooked with separate pans and utensils.
