Happy Gluten Free St. Patrick’s Day!
Where do you celebrate St. Paddy’s day? Are you forced to stay home and cook? I’m willing to travel this year because I know I can have a safe and delicious meal at Rafferty’s Restaurant & Pub in North Conway, NH. They are offering a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner on the weekend and will be having a St. Paddy’s Day party with local radio personalities as well as prizes and giveaways. The owners of this restaurant have two children with celiac disease. They have an extensive gluten free menu, www.raffspub.com, offering many items that you may not have had in a very long time like chicken parmesan, pizza, onion rings, fish n’ chips and sandwiches. In addition, there are gluten free soups, salads and grilled entrees. A children’s menu is also available with hotdogs and fries, grilled cheese and chicken fingers, just to name a few. Heaven to a child who has been told that these are “forbidden” foods! Gluten free vegetarian entrees are also available and the restaurant is very receptive to its customers living with food restrictions.
