About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

Fritz Belgian Fries

If you are heading up to Keene, NH for the annual  Pumpkin Festival don’t leave without stopping by Fritz Belgian Fries!  Yes, the fries are gluten-free as are the many sauces they offer for dipping.  The potatoes are purchased from local farms and are hand-cut on site and cooked in trans-fat free oil.  There are over a dozen sauces to choose from which range from a Curry Ketchup or Curry Pineapple to a Lemon Dill (contains mayo-eggs).  In addition, salads, paninis and burgers are on the menu with the option of gluten-free bread!   On any given day you may find Against the Grain  baguettes (contain dairy, eggs) which are available for the paninis, however, an in-house brown rice bread (dairy-free, contains eggs) is also available on most days. The burgers include both beef and buffalo and are locally raised and processed.

On the horizon are more varieties of gluten-free breads, rolls and pies crusts with the possibility of made to order pies. Wouldn’t that be great with the holidays right around the corner! In the meantime, be sure to check out their weekly specials and musical entertainment schedule.
