About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

Abigail’s Bakery

Are you tired of running from the supermarket and then to a specialty store to buy your “special”  groceries for the week?  Abigail’s Bakery in Weare, NH has a “Bread of the Week Program” where an assortment of breads (also pizza crusts and dinner rolls) are shipped out fresh to your home every Monday for an entire month! The bread is baked in a nut-free facility where delicious handmade organic goods are produced.  Some of these are gluten-free too.  While not a gluten-free facility, great care is taken to thoroughly clean the equipment. The millet, brown rice and tapioca based breads are also free of dairy and egg and are sweetened with agave nectar instead of processed sugar.  Gluten-free hot dog buns, hamburger buns, dinner rolls and cinnamon raisin swirl breads are available by mail order, at select markets, or by visiting the retail store at 352 Sugar Hill Road.  Consider calling ahead to be sure your desired bread is available.
