Zebra’s Bistro offering a gluten-free Autumn Dinner!

On Tuesday November 17th,  Zebra’s Bistro and Wine Bar in Medfield, Ma., will host a Gluten-free, five-course Autumn Dinner.  To begin, assorted crostini will be served followed by  Southwestern Corn and Sweet Potato Chowder.  The third course will be a salad of baby greens, roast pears, goat cheese and spiced nuts with a honey cider vinaigrette.  The main course will feature Roast Stuffed Pork Loin with a fig and date stuffing and pan gravy.  For dessert, a special pound cake will be presented with sauteed bananas and warm Myer’s rum foster sauce!  This is available for $39 per person by reservation only.

Aside from special gluten-free dinners and other events, the bistro has many gluten-free, allergen friendly choices on their menu. The Short Ribs braised in red wine with a side of root vegetables over horseradish mashed potatoes, or the “Duck Two Ways”, which includes a pan seared duck breast over broccolini with a pomegranate-pear reduction sauce, and duck confit over wild Zebra rice with blood orange sauce are two delectable entrees worth trying.  Other entrees to try are the Grilled Chicken, Dry-aged Black Angus Sirloin steak or the White Sirloin (pork loin).  All of these are served with creative side dishes.  There is also Caesar salad with gluten-free croutons, seafood paella and even flourless chocolate cake for dessert!  The servers and chef are allergen aware and there is even an employee with celiac disease.

About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with multiple food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. My goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

To search, just click on a state (below), or click on any of the tags under each post that apply to your specific dietary needs and only those posts will be shown. Comments on positive dining experiences welcome!
