About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

Abby Park in Milton

Conveniently located on Main Street in Milton, Ma,  Abby Park  notes (with an asterisk) which menu items are available gluten-free!  Known for serving “modern American cuisine” you may have a hard time choosing among the plentiful appetizers, salads, entrees and sides.

The Chick-Pea Hummus and Lobster Dip (contains dairy) are both served with a crispy gluten-free pita bread in place of the grilled glutenous flatbread! This pita is also used as the base for their gluten-free pizzas which include the vegetarian choices of Margarita and Mushroom Pizzas, or meat lovers can delight in the hearty Steak Pizza. The latter consists of carmelized onions, blue cheese, steak, arugula and a splash of aged balsamic vinegar.

If you travel a bit south, you will find similar dishes at Abby Park’s sister restaurant, Alden Park Bar & Grill, located in Plymouth, Ma.  This casual, upscale restaurant features contemporary American cuisine sure to make namesake John Alden  proud!  The menu uses asterisks to denote gluten-free items.  You’ll find the Lobster Dip here too, but also other dishes like the Lettuce Wraps (chicken, sticky rice, peppers, scallions, Thai peanut sauce & soy glaze), and the, perfect for springtime, Strawberry Salad (mixed greens, feta cheese, sunflower seeds, strawberries & balsamic vinegar).

Seasonal patio seating and private dining space available.
