About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

Nana’s Pizza in Everett, Ma

We’ve made a few outings to Nana’s Pizza in Everett and have never been disappointed! Their gluten-free menu  provides many options we don’t normally find at other pizzerias (which often only carry gluten-free pizza).   In addition to pizza, they serve salads, wings, breaded chicken “chunks” , soups and gluten-free beer!!

The owner happens to be living gluten-free himself and has thoroughly trained his staff regarding food preparation and has even gone to the much appreciated effort of only using gluten-free flour to dust  not only the gluten-free pizza, but also the “regular” pizza! Little reason to worry about airborne wheat flour here!  The pizza crust is also free of egg and dairy and is available in a 10 inch size and can be made as a white pizza (Zaza), Chicken Ranch, Smoky BBQ or traditional cheese. Or, customize  your own with the following toppings: green peppers, tomatoes, onions, garlic, mushrooms, bacon, chicken, sausage and pepperoni.

Salads are plentiful and many have the option of adding chicken (plain, buffalo or bbq) and all of the salad dressings are gluten-free.

The wings are oven-baked and offered plain, with honey BBQ or Spicy Buffalo.  The boneless breaded chicken chunks are available in these combinations as well.   We’ve sampled the honey BBQ and Spicy Buffalo and these have received rave reviews from our non gluten-free friends too!

Soups and chili are offered seasonally from the locally certified gluten-free manufacturer, Kettle Cuisine. Many of these soups are also dairy-free and/or vegan.  Call ahead to see what they are offering.

Local delivery available!   And corporate delivery is now available to Boston and north of Boston (10 or more pizzas if beyond their normal route).

Thanks, Nana!
