About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

If you’re visiting the Mayflower…

Historic Plymouth, Ma has so much to offer.  Next time you visit, check out some of these allergen friendly establishments.  The Cornerstone Cafe  located at 67 Main Street, Plymouth (sorry, no website, phone 1-508- 746-7773),  is open for breakfast and lunch.  They offer sandwiches made with gluten free bread. The bread is made of millet and rice flours and is corn, dairy and egg free!  If you happen to be in Plymouth in the summer, you will find Chris’s Gourmet Treats at local farmers markets.  Here you can find gluten free artisan breads that are also dairy free.  The gluten free millet bread is dairy, soy and egg free.  No preservatives, additives or chemicals are used.  In addition to bread they also bake cupcakes, a variety of pound cakes, German chocolate cake and sponge cakes, though these are gluten free only.

The Hearth and Kettle Restaurants have been around for many years, and they recently revamped their menu to have healthier choices.  They offer organic chicken, salmon and salads.  The dessert menu even features a flourless chocolate cake which is labelled gluten free on the menu!
