Formerly only available through some of our favorite pizza places or cafes,  Glutenus Minimus is now operating a retail bakery in Belmont, Massachusetts so we can now enjoy ”Gourmet Gluten-Free Foods” six days a week!  Some of the offerings include dinner rolls, breads, mini baguettes as well as sweets such as cookies, cakes, cupcakes and muffins. 

On our visit we were looking for a gluten and nut-free treat for my daughter to take along to a birthday party.  When we arrived we were overwhelmed by the pleasing aroma of the Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake and visually impressed by the abundant display of gluten-free treats on the counter.   It was not easy to make a decision, but the gluten and nut-free cupcakes fit the bill perfectly. Though not  a nut-free facility, the baker/owner has nut allergies herself and, therefore, enforces a strict nut-free policy when baking and storing nut-free items.  On the menu, one can see which muffins are free of dairy (all are nut-free) and which cookies are free of dairy and nuts.  When possible, the ability to customize orders for specific dietary needs (soy-free, dairy-free, etc) is available.
