About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

Gluten free, dairy free pizza in Worcester

If you are in the Worcester area, there are quite a few allergen friendly restaurants. Here are two that offer pizza.  The Boynton Restaurant , offers gluten free pizza seven days a week.  The crust is dairy free too, but does contain soy and egg whites.  The pizza is prepared in a gluten free station but shares the same oven as the regular pizza. Care is taken to prevent cross-contamination by using specific trays.  There is a great variety of toppings available and these pizzas are also available  as “Take & Bake” for heating at home. Many salads and entrees are available that are naturally gluten free and may be altered to accomodate other dietary needs.  A delicious looking gluten free mousse cake is available for dessert.

The second establishment, Evo, offers gluten free, dairy free pizza crust (contains soy) as well as other vegan choices.  The pizza is baked in the same oven as the regualr pizza and for those avoiding corn, be aware that corn flour  is used to dust the pizza tray used for baking.  The pizza can be made with a large variety of toppings including soy cheese!   The vegetables are organic and have no GMO’s and the meats are organic and all natural.  There are also gluten free wraps, hamburgers on gluten free rolls, (including vegan, black bean or bison) and some desserts like the Creme Brulee (contains dairy) , Dairy Free Chocolate Cake and the Chipotle Pineapple Skewers which can be made dairy free as well by omitting the ice cream.  Appetizers, salads and entrees are also available and the chef is very accomodating to ensure every diner enjoys their meal.  Nuts are used in some recipes so alert your server, if needed.
