About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

Bluemoon Bagel Cafe

Did you know that the Bluemoon Bagel Cafe offers gluten-free items daily?  No artificial preservatives, chemicals or additives are ever added to these fresh baked items and all products are made in-house.

Check the daily specials to see what is offered before you visit. To satisfy your sweet tooth, the Flourless Chocolate Decadence Cake and Almond Macaroons are available everyday.  In addition, you’ll find a variety of salads as well as a gluten-free muffin and scone to choose from daily.  Flavors vary each week but some items in the past have been the pineapple and coconut filled Hawaiian Scones or the very popular Pumpkin Spice Muffins.  Vegan products are made here as well, but as of this date there are no baked items that are both vegan and gluten-free.  Call ahead to find out the current offerings and to address other allergy concerns.

Special gluten-free desserts and pastries are offered during the holidays.  Recently during Passover numerous flourless desserts were developed. Some of these were the Chocolate Pecan Torte, Fruit Tart, Berry Tiramisu, Key Lime Pie and Strawberry Cheesecake.  These were available for a limited time during the holiday season.  I’ll be sure to make a trip to Medfield for whatever holiday is next!
