Flatbread Gluten-free pizza + whoppie pie= a very happy boy!

Recently, we had a nice lunch at the Flatbread Pizza Company  at their Bedford, Ma. location.  It’s great to be able to visit a restaurant where the family can get gluten-free pizza but this place is also great because the franchise supports local farms, uses organic and natural ingredients, free range meats and nitrate free pepperoni.  Upon entering, we immediately viewed a board of the daily specials and listed on one side were gluten-free choices!  Of course my kids Read the rest of this entry »

North Conway has come a long way in the past few years as a great vacation place for people managing food allergies and intolerances.  It’s nice to have a place to take the children and know that there are some relatively safe places to eat.  In a previous post (March 2009), I wrote about Rafferty’s Restaurant & Pub and their extensive gluten-free menu.  Since that post, they have started selling pre-packaged gluten-free pastas, lasagnas (meat, cheese or vegetable), rolls and pies (applecrumb or pumpkin) to go.
