The Max Restaurant Group has expanded beyond Connecticut and into Massachusetts.  Their newest location, Max’s Tavern, is conveniently located in Springfield right next to the Basketball Hall of Fame.   A five course gluten-free dinner event was recently held here and even included vodka martinis! Flatbread Gluten-free pizza + whoppie pie= a very happy boy!

Recently, we had a nice lunch at the Flatbread Pizza Company  at their Bedford, Ma. location.  It’s great to be able to visit a restaurant where the family can get gluten-free pizza but this place is also great because the franchise supports local farms, uses organic and natural ingredients, free range meats and nitrate free pepperoni.  Upon entering, we immediately viewed a board of the daily specials and listed on one side were gluten-free choices!  Of course my kids Read the rest of this entry »

PF Chang’s China Bistro is very accomodating when it comes to special diets such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and other food allergy needs. They have a gluten-free menu and upon request can print out a dairy-free one.  Some of the dishes are naturally gluten-free while others must be modified.  This, of course, makes it very important to alert your server or even ask for the manager to be sure you get the correct recipe.  Read the rest of this entry »

Uno's Gluten-Free Veggie Pizza

Uno’s Chicago Grill has decided to expland it’s gluten free pizza to all of their restaurants.  Originally tested in select areas, the gluten free pizza has been a big hit and thus the decision to expand nationally.  For some time, Uno’s has had a gluten free menu offering a variety of entrees, salads and side dishes.
