About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

It’s Only Natural Restaurant in Middletown, CT. is a real gem for those living the vegan and vegetarian lifestyle.  The only animal product served here is cheddar cheese.  Gluten-free food is available here too and is marked on the menu.

Illiano’s Pizza

With many locations throughout Connecticut, Illiano’s Pizzeria serves delicious thin crust gluten-free pizza!  The crust is made from a mixture of rice, tapioca and bean flours and is free of  dairy and soy ingredients too (contains eggs and yeast).  This pizza  can be ordered with any of the toppings on the menu.
