All items at Cafe Live are free of gluten, dairy, egg and soy and are also organic.  The food at this vegan restaurant is considered “raw” because it’s never heated beyond 115 degrees.  The owner/chef is a UCONN grad with a degree in Nutritional Science, and it shows!  Her creations are tempting whether you’re living the vegan lifestyle or not!

The Ninety Nine restaurants have started serving  delicious gluten-free buns to accompany their steakburgers. These buns are made from a mix of rice and tapioca flours and are free of dairy (contain eggs, soy and yeast) and are manufactured in a gluten, tree nut and peanut-free facility. Georgie’s Diner in New Haven has gluten-free and vegan choices on the menu and recently added more items for their gluten-free customers.  Already serving gluten-free pasta dishes such as the Mediteranean Pasta and the Bolognese pasta dish, they have recently added gluten-free Cavatelli and Spinach Ravioli (not yet listed on menu). Located in Portland,  The Eggs Up Grill  serves breakfast and lunch and  they have a gluten-free menu!  Owner Kim lives gluten-free as do many of her family  members.  She’s devised a full breakfast menu which includes a tempting  array of pancakes (contain eggs and dairy) and French toast (bread contains dairy, corn, eggs and yeast). With many locations throughout Connecticut, Illiano’s Pizzeria serves delicious thin crust gluten-free pizza!  The crust is made from a mixture of rice, tapioca and bean flours and is free of  dairy and soy ingredients too (contains eggs and yeast).  This pizza  can be ordered with any of the toppings on the menu.
