About Us
Dining away from home can be a challenge for those managing food allergies and intolerances or special dietary needs. As a registered dietitian, as well as a mother of children with food allergies, I am always on the lookout for a safe place to eat. This site came about due to the necessity of finding restaurants receptive to serving customers with food allergies and special dietary concerns. Our goal is to increase the awareness within the restaurant community so that we may once again experience the freedom to dine away from home.

Sal’s Pizza!

All corporate locations of Sal’s Pizza  now carry gluten-free pizza!  This is also offered at some of the franchise sites too, just be sure to double check before visiting.  Strict precautions are taken by the trained staff, according to the corporate office.

The steps taken to reduce cross-contamination include preparing and cooking the pizza in separate, designated pans and using designated utensils.  The pizza and toppings are kept away from the “regular” pizza area by keeping them separately located in a walk in cooler.

We tried the pizza from one of the local corporate sites (Woburn).  It’s a tapioca based pizza crust that’s available in a 10 inch size only and, besides being gluten-free, is also free of dairy, soy and yeast.  It was kid-approved and we love the fact that delivery is available!!
